Gina Starblanket is an Associate Professor in Indigenous Governance at the University of Victoria and is the former Canada Research Chair in the Politics of Decolonization at the University of Calgary. Gina is Cree and Saulteaux and a member of the Star Blanket Cree Nation in Treaty 4 territory. She is the Principal Investigator of the Prairie Indigenous Relationality Network, and her research takes up questions of Indigenous-settler political relations in Canada, the politics of treaty implementation, prairie Indigenous life, gender and Indigenous feminism. She is the author of important interventions theorizing relational responsibilities to the land, co-author of the award-winning book, Storying Violence: Unravelling Colonial Narratives in the Stanley Trial (ARP Press, 2020), and coeditor of the 5th edition of Visions of the Heart: Issues Involving Indigenous Peoples In Canada. She is also in the process of editing the 3rd edition of Making Space for Indigenous Feminisms, 3rd ed. (Forthcoming in 2023, Fernwood Press).

Gina Starblanket est professeure agrégée en gouvernance autochtone à l'Université de Victoria et ancienne titulaire de la chaire de recherche du Canada en politique de la décolonisation à l'Université de Calgary. Gina est Cris et Saulteaux et membre de la nation Cris Star Blanket sur le territoire du Traité 4. Elle est la chercheuse principale du Prairie Indigenous Relationality Network et ses recherches portent sur les relations politiques entre les Autochtones et les colons au Canada, la politique de mise en œuvre des traités, la vie des Autochtones des Prairies, le genre et le féminisme autochtone.
